Cross-Border Shopping Activity
On September 23, The Federal Reserve Bank Branches Chicago-Detroit and Dallas-San Antonio along with The International Council of Shopping Centers co-hosted a one-day symposium, "Cross-Borders Shopping Activity."

The program examined the role and impact of consumer spending across the US-Canadian and US-Mexican Borders. Topics included the magnitude of activity, the key drivers influencing the flows, and the future outlook. The present and future roles of retail establishments were also discussed.

Rocco Delvecchio, Canadian Consul General, was the keynote speaker.
